In modern Asian countries, Western medicine has made big inroads, probably due in part to its effectiveness at curing many infectious diseases.  But modern Asian citizens still turn to acupuncture for many other problems and to help prevent them getting sick in the first place.  Part of my mission as a practitioner is to educate the public as to the many ways in which this ancient practice may be of help to them.

The term, Doctor of Medicine (MD) literally means “Teacher of Health”. I and many of my colleagues, while not Medical Doctors, take the role of health educator very seriously. We want our clients to become and remain disease-free. So, first I treat each client’s presenting problem, then I engage them in ways to make it possible to not have that problem again.

The philosophy is simply stated; “I am in business to put myself out of business”.  I want everyone well, content, and knowledgeable in ways to keep themselves well.
